Quick and easy to put on for extra peace of mind

Being 51 years old and growing up in western Australia, I have surfed and dived all my life, moving to South East Queensland in my late teens I've surfed and dived all up and down the northern New South Wales , and Queensland coast . Last 20 years I've based myself around Agnes Waters 1770 surfing and diving these areas and deepwater national Park normally by myself, I've seen and encountered quite a few sharks over the last 40 years . that I use my recreation time in the ocean . 18 months ago I moved to Mackay in Central Queensland there's not a lot of surf up here unless the winds blowing 20 knots. Myself doing a lot more diving actually spearfishing again by myself out in my boat. Shark bands just give me that little bit more confidence when I'm jumping into the water and swimming off , I have to make sure that I've done the best preparations that I can because of it all goes wrong there's no one else out there to help me . As watermen and women it's cheap insurance to do for things we love.

Sadly long ago, “Jaws” really created a legitimate deep seated and somewhat irrational fear in me! Sharkbanz is comfortable and super easy to wear! Well made, stylish, and well, it just gives me that peace of mind. I am an avid swimmer and we sail frequently. Recently, while in Belize, I did witness a 15 ft shark do a complete U-turn just 20 feet from me! My partner dives all over the world and does teach me a lot and reminds me about the mostly non-harmful creatures. But my fear is ever present nonetheless! I live on the North shore of Maui surf almost every day got one for my Wife too she feels more comfortable in the water now . There was a boy Killed at Paia cove last week , when the water gets dirty from the rain we still go out , so the band is a must on the not so clear days . Hay your band is the only product on the market that works ,the only down side is don’t put it in your cary on luggage TSA goes off so check it .

Super comfortable and not as bulky as I expected. Haven't seen any sharks around while kitesurfing, so that's a good thing. No news is good news on that front!

I wore the Sharkband while diving in the Galápagos Islands. I forgot I had it on and approached a sleeping white tip shark. It sensed I was there because of the Sharkband and took off. It worked.

Own 2 sharkbanz bands and a pod. The pod is great for surfing as it attach to the leash. The bands are great as well when snorkeling or swimming in Hawaii waters. I never thought too much about sharks until I started foiling and then I saw more probably because I was higher up on a platform. Somehow it makes me feel safer and I use it when surfing foiling stand up or kiting.. but it doesn't deter my dogs LOL

My only concern is the packaging. I have received six items and four of the protective boxes were damaged. Three boxes were squashed and one had chips/ scratches.

I went for my first swim wearing my new Sharkbanz 2 last week & was not eaten, so that’s absolute proof that it must work! Seriously though, it seems to be made well. I wore it on my ankle & also wore my Garmin Fenix on my wrist. I was worried that the watch may be affected by the magnetic field, but it worked as normal using the ‘Open Water Swim’ setting.

I'm back at a kiteboard/wingfoil school in Costa Rica with a high population of Stingrays and at least one person gets hit every week. After getting a spine broken off in my heel, getting infected and needing surgery to get it out and prevent losing my foot to infection, I did some research. Have been testing the Sharkbanz on my ankle for 3 weeks shuffling around and haven't bumped into a single Stingray - normally shuffling will result in numerous bumps per day, but the Stingrays just swim away as long as you're not stepping on them But I've not bumped a single one. I have seen many splashes of 'fish' moving away within a 3 - 4 meter radius, and the splash appears very similar to the splash I've seen when a visible stingray flaps their wings after resting on the bottom, but the water wasn't clear. I will send a video when I have confirmation. No Shark sightings to report, which is good too.
